Macedo Controls King Of 360s Opener

GIBSONTON, Fla. — California sprint car racer Cole Macedo turned in a stellar performance to win Thursday night’s feature on the opening night of the King of the 360s three-day event at East Bay Raceway Park.

Macedo bested a 52-car field of winged 360 sprint cars, kicking off the final weekend of the 47th annual Winternationals at the third-mile dirt track.

Macedo started the No. 50 machine outside the front row and beat seventh-starter Mark Smith to the checkered flag.

Davie Franek went from sixth to third, while Parker Price-Miller romped from 11th on the grid to finish fourth.

Ryan Timms started 14th and finished fifth.

Thirty-two Mod Lite machines were in the pit area, with polesitter Stevie Throop claiming the victory over Austin Martin.
