Macedo Closes In On Sweet In Sprint Rankings

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – While Brad Sweet continues to lead the National Sprint Car Rankings, the margin is as close as it has been all season.

Sweet boasts an average finish of 4.580 in 52 starts aboard the Kasey Kahne Racing with Mike Curb No. 9, but Carson Macedo is close behind with a 4.740 average finish in 55 starts for Jason Johnson Racing.

Both are among the 14 drivers who have reached the 50-start plateau and have begun dropping their worst finishes.

Kyle Larson, with only 20 starts, Donny Schatz and David Gravel round out the top five.

Ninety-one drivers have made the 20 starts required to qualify for the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Danny Dietrich leads Lance Dewease by one point in the Eastern region. Dominic Scelzi is on top in the Western region.

Kyle Bellm holds the lead in the Mid-America region and D.J. Foos commands the Great Lakes region.

Justin Henderson extended his advantage in the Great Plains region. Brandon Matus leads the PA-OH region.

One hundred and 33 drivers have combined to win the 295 features run.
