Lead Extends For Sweet In National Sprint Rankings

CONCORD, N.C. – With a sweep of two World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series features at Wisconsin’s Cedar Lake Speedway, Brad Sweet extended his advantage in the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Sweet, who has won five consecutive features at Cedar Lake, has an average finish of 4.837 in 43 starts this season.

David Gravel continues to rank second with a 5.837 average finish in 43 starts. Another World of Outlaws driver, Carson Macedo, ranks third.

Brandon Matus made his 20th start over the weekend and became eligible for the rankings, debuting in the fourth spot. Donny Schatz ranks fifth.

Seventy-one drivers have reached 20-start requirement to be eligible for the rankings.

Kyle Larson has made only 17 starts, but has an average finish of 4.412.

Danny Dietrich, Giovanni Scelzi and Cory Eliason have reached the 50-start plateau and can begin dropping their worst finishes.

Dietrich has regained the lead in the Eastern region and Dominic Scelzi remains on top in the Western region. Kyle Bellm has taken the lead in the Mid-America region and D.J. Foos has moved to the top of the Great Lakes region. Justin Henderson tops the Great Plains region standings and Matus leads the PA-Ohio region.

One hundred and 20 drivers have combined to win the 245 features run.
