GRANITE CITY, Ill. — Kyle Larson won his second straight High Limit Sprint Car Series feature Wednesday night at Tri-City Speedway.
Larson accepted a No. 8 during the Durst Dice Roll and started eighth in the field for extra money. Driving the familiar Pete Silva-prepared No. 57 sprint car, Larson steadily made his way to the front and grabbed the lead from Rico Abreu, who led laps nine through 27, with eight laps remaining.
Larson led the final eight circuits to become the first two-time winner in the series and earn an impressive $31,023.
Abreu, who traded slide jobs with Larson while defending the top spot, came home second and earned $10,000 for his efforts.
Cory Eliason romped from 13th to finish third, while Sam Hafertepe Jr. and Zeb Wise completed the top five.
Parker Price-Miller led the opening lap and Danny Dietrich passed laps two through eight when his No. 48 broke a valve spring and collected Brent Marks as a result.
