Larson: 13 Wins In 48 Races This Season

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Kyle Larson is quietly racking up some impressive numbers in the racing world this season.

While not as gaudy as the victory totals he’s amassed in recent seasons such as 2020 and ’21, the California native known for racing anything with wheels on it has raced less frequently this season, but still picked up more than his share of victories.

Unofficially, Larson’s World of Outlaws triumph at South Dakota’s Huset’s Speedway on Wednesday night was his 13th victory in 48 races this season.

It was his fifth sprint car triumph of the season, with three of those coming with the High Limit Racing Series that he co-owns with Brad Sweet. He has one victory each with the World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit of Champions.

Those five sprint car victories were worth $122,069.

Larson’s full-time job in NASCAR has produced two Cup Series points victories and a $1 million triumph in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Larson has also won a NASCAR Xfinity Series race and a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event this season.

On the dirt late model circuit, Larson has a pair of victories this year, and he has won a dirt modified feature at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.

With sprint car racing’s month of money kicking off this weekend with the High Bank Nationals at Huset’s, expect Larson to add to the victory total.

Larson will race again tonight in South Dakota, but will miss Friday’s action there because of his commitments in the Cup Series at Nashville Superspeedway. He’ll return to Huset’s Saturday in an attempt to win the $250,000 winner’s prize.

As well, Larson intends to guide Paul Silva’s No. 57 sprint car in the Eldora Million and Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway July 12-15 and during the Knoxville Nationals at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway Aug. 9-12.
