Set to head to the midwest this week with his family car, Joel Myers Jr. had a slight change to his plans as he will team with Brodie Hayward and run the Hayward Motorsports No. 19 car beginning Monday night at Fremont Speedway.
“I am super excited for the opportunity to team with Brodie Hayward, SHITI Coolers and everyone involved at Hayward Motorsports,” Myers said. “Brodie Hayward has been such an asset to motorsports. I really excited to work with him and his team and can’t wait to get going on Monday.”
As of now the plan is still fluid, but Myers and Hayward Motorsports will kick their tenure off together Monday against the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Fremont, then head to Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana next Friday night for the Kubota High Limit Racing Series.
“Our first two races are definitely going to be challenging, but I think taking on the best is a great way for us to really push our limits together,” Myers added. “It is a challenge that I am looking forward to.”
While Myers and Hayward Motorsports won’t be in action until Monday night, he will get his midwest schedule underway Friday night as he will be in his family-owned No. 46JR tomorrow night.
“I also want to give a huge shoutout to my family for their support in bringing our equipment to the midwest, and my partners for supporting this new endeavor with the Hayward Motorsports team,” Myers said.
