SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Creeping toward the new year, Joel Myers Jr. has a new ride.
Fresh off of an impressive 2021 season, Myers Jr. will move to the seat of the Vertullo Motorsports No. 83V mount with the King of the West schedule the team’s primary focus.
“I am extremely excited to have this opportunity with Dave and Debbie Vertullo, and am really looking forward to a full season of 410ci action,” Joel Myers Jr said. “I got a pretty good taste of it at the end of the 2021 season and can’t wait to hit the ground running in 2022.”
While the early part of 2021 saw Myers compete in 360ci action and contend for the Placerville Speedway Championship, the latter part of the year saw the Sebastopol, CA driver compete in numerous King of the West events.
Unable to compete in every 2021 KWS event, Myers body of work was still strong as the 15-year-old still managed to finish 10th in the final point standings.
While Myers Jr and Vertullo Motorsports will make the KWS schedule their priority, the team will also fill in with various 360 events as the schedule allows.
At this time, the team is also in search of crew help for the year ahead so interested parties please reach out to Dave Vertullo or Joel Myers Jr.
Joel Myers Jr. will continue to receive support from All About Fire Protection, Dirt Dudes, Amerikote, PitStopUSA, Y2K Gaming, Shark Racing Engines, Lucas Oil, Vaider, L Delo Designs, Factory Kahne Shocks, Walker Performance Filtration, ShopRico.Com, Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Kaeding Performance, and Triple X Race Co.
“It sounds like there are some exciting things in store for the 2022 KWS season and I am looking forward to being a part of it,” Myers said. “I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the years to help me get to this point. It really is an exciting opportunity, and one that I am really grateful for.”
