DONNELLSON, Iowa — Ayrton Gennetten scored his second Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series victory in as many starts Friday night at Lee County Speedway.
After earning a second-place starting position due to the feature redraw, Gennetten was able to jump out in front of the field to a commanding lead.
In a 25-lap affair that only saw the field clump back up following a lap-18 incident with Riley Goodno getting upside down, Gennetten never once faced a challenge.
A restart on lap 18 was what helped secure the victory for Gennetten, as he had handily worked his way through lapped traffic, taking over all but the top five runners.
As the checkers waved over the field, Ayrton Gennetten pocketed the $3,000 payday followed by Jake Neuman, Terry McCarl, Chris Martin and Tasker Phillips.
The finish:
Ayrton Gennetten, Jake Neuman, Terry McCarl, Chris Martin, Tasker Phillips, Brinton Marvel, Andy Bishop, Jacob Patton, Colton Fisher, Zach Daum, Brayden Gaylord, Noah Samuel, Korey Weyant, Caden Englehart, Jeremy Standridge, Daniel Bergquist, Riley Goodno, Ben Wagoner, Austin McCarl.
