BELOIT, Kan. — Chelby Hinton and Corbin Rueschenberg emerged victorious on Thursday evening during the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division debut at Solomon Valley Raceway.
The 10th annual Chad McDaniel Memorial, which was Round 2 of the Mid-America Micro Week, was postponed a day from Wednesday’s original plan, but the racing was fierce once drivers hit the dirt oval.
Hinton, who is the Stock Non-Wing points leader, recorded his second NOW600 Series triumph of the season. Gavin Miller was the runner up with Trey Zorn placing third, Jason Friesen fourth and Ed Libonati fifth.
Rueschenberg maneuvered from sixth to garner his third Restricted ‘A’ Class victory of the season with the series. That moved him into a tie for the most in the division.
Cooper Cottrell earned a second-place finish as Keegan Osantowski rounded out the podium. Scout Spraggins finished fourth and Riley Osantowski was fifth.
