Gravel Remains On Top In Sprint Car Rankings

David Gravel remains on top of the National Sprint Car Rankings as the country’s top drivers prepare to descend on Ohio’s Eldora Speedway for the most lucrative week of racing in the sport’s history, with the Eldora Million and the Kings Royal being run within a three-day span.

Gravel has an average finish of 5.0, which leads World of Outlaws point leader Brad Sweet, who boasts and 5.5 average finish.

Carson Macedo, who won Saturday’s World of Outlaws feature at Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway, ranks third with a 5.650 average finish.

Rico Abreu and A.J. Flick round out the top five.

Sixty-nine drivers have now made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Seven hundred and 13 drivers have started at least one 410 winged sprint car feature this season.

None of the regional leaders changed this week, with Anthony Macri (Eastern), Joe B. Miller (Mid-America), Cap Henry (Great Lakes), Austin McCarl (Great Plains), Corey Day (Western and Northwestern) and A.J. Flick (PA-Ohio) leading the way.

One hundred and 19 drivers have combined to win the 249 features run this season.
