KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Californian Shane Golobic finds himself atop the Beaver Drill & Tool Jesse Hockett Mr. Sprint Car standings headed into this week’s 60th running of the NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals Presented by Casey’s at Knoxville Raceway.
Golobic leads by a single point over fellow Californian Gio Scelzi. Missouri’s Brian Brown is third, followed by Oklahoma’s Daryn Pittman and South Dakota’s Justin Henderson.
AustralianScott Bogucki, California’s Cory Eliason, Iowa’s Austin McCarl, Indiana’s Tyler Courtney and Tennesee’s Sammy Swindell round out the top 10.
The purse has been upped for this year’s award, thanks to Beaver Drill & Tool. The winner will be awarded $6,000, second place $2,500 and third $1,000.
