CONCORD, N.C. – With racing beginning to pick up its pace following the shutdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic, four of the seven regions in the National Sprint Car Rankings have begun their seasons.
Still, no driver has yet to make 20 starts, so the national rankings have yet to be tallied.
Danny Dietrich continues to lead the Eastern region with a victory and five top-five finishes in 13 starts.
Hot off his victory in Saturday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, Kyle Larson leads the Mid-America region.
Mark Smith won Saturday’s 410 sprint car feature at St. Francois County Raceway in Missouri, but the track did not report its results on time and as a result they are not included in this week’s Mid-America standings.
Ian Madsen tops the Great Plains region, while Sye Lynch leads the Ohio-PA region after his victory Sunday at Pennsylvania’s Roaring Knob Motorsports Park.
