Eliason & Rudeen Racing Split

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — After more than three years together, sprint car driver Cory Eliason and Rudeen Racing have gone their separate ways.

The team announced Eliason’s departure on Twitter on Wednesday and Eliason confirmed it with a tweet of his own.

“What a ride these last three and a half years have been,” Eliason wrote. I want to thank Kevin and Monika Rudeen for an incredible opportunity to further my career as a sp”rint car driver. We had a great run together and I feel like we built a great friendship. I also want to thank the entire Rudeen family for their continued support, as well as thank Brent, Kirk, Jon, Remy and Andrew for their support of both my racing and business career. I wish the entire Rudeen Racing team nothing but the best moving forward and I look forward to my next opportunity.”

Eliason won eight features and produced 111 top-10 finishes in 173 races with the team, which runs full time with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

Eliason finished second in All Star points in 2020 and 2021.

However, this season Eliason has one just once and produced only five top-five finishes.

“I’m not quite sure what that next move will be, but I’m eager to get back to work,” Eliason said on Twitter.
