Eliason & Macri To Sub For PPM

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — With Parker Price-Miller recovering from two broken vertebrae suffered in a crash on the opening lap of the Knoxville Nationals, Sam McGhee Motorsports has filled his seat for the next two weeks of All Star Circuit of Champions competition.

The team confirmed that Cory Eliason and Anthony Macri will drive the No. 11 during the next two weekends in a Twitter post on Thursday.

Eliason, who has split his time between Rudeen Racing and the Indy Race Parts No. 71 this season, will step into the McGhee machine for this weekend’s triple header (Outlaw Speedway, Utica-Rome Speedway and Weedsport Speedway) in New York.

Macri, who has won 17 races driving his family owned No. 39 this season, will slide into the No. 11 for six events beginning Aug. 24 at Pennsylvania’s Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Macri will also drive for the McGhee team at Bridgeport Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Sharon Speedway.

The team raced in Tuesday’s High Limit Open at Lincoln Park Speedway with Cale Thomas at the wheel.

Price-Miller, a three-time feature winner this year, will return to the seat when fully recovered from his injuries.Â
