After a week of consistent performances with the All Star Circuit of Champions last week, California teenager Corey Day remains at the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Day has an average finish of 3.913 in 23 starts this season, which puts him ahead of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader David Gravel.
Gravel, who won his 10th race of the season Sunday at Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway, has an average finish of 4.896 in 49 events.
Anthony Macri, who has made a national-best 58 starts and has been dropping his worst finishes since reaching 50 starts, ranks third.
Brad Sweet and Mark Dobmeier round out the top five.
Ninety-three drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 788 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season.
Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller has a commanding advantage in the Mid-America region.
A seven-time feature winner this season, Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region, with Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region.
Day paces the Western stanza with Trey Starks on top in the Northwest region. A.J. Flick anchors the PA-Ohio region.
One hundred and 31 drivers have combined to win the 312 features run this season.Â
Freddie Rahmer leads the country with 11 victories, while Gravel and Flick have each won 10 times.
