WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Teenager Corey Day continued his rise upon the California sprint car scene with a victory in Friday night’s Ocean Sprints by Taco Bravo main event at Ocean Speedway.
Day started sixth on the quarter-mile oval and steadily made his way to the front to win the 30-lap main event.
Shane Golobic finished second, with Justin Sanders, Tanner Carrick and Caeden Steele, who started 18th, rounding out the top five.
