WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Corey Day is starting to get a reputation for winning big races.
The 18-year-old Californian drove to his third Kubota High Limit Racing sprint car victory of the season and his second consecutive $20,000 Midweek Money Series triumph Tuesday night at Riverside Int’l Speedway.
Driving the Jason Meyers Racing No. 14, Day started on the pole and drove to victory ahead of Tanner Thorson, who logged his series-best finish aboard the Rod Gross Motorsports No. 88.
Tyler Courtney finished third, earning his seventh podium finish in the first 10 races of the season, keeping him in the point lead.
Brad Sweet and Cole Macedo completed the top five.
Thirty-eight cars were on hand at the legendary quarter-mile race track.
