LAKE ODESSA, Mich. — Known for his prowess in a winged sprint car, Dustin Daggett picked up a victory without a wing in Friday night’s Great Lakes Traditional Sprints event at I-96 Speedway.
Daggett used lapped traffic to track down and pass Steve Irwin before motoring away to victory. It was his third win of the season and first without a wing.
Irwin, who started on the pole for the 25-lap event, finished second.
Keith Sheffer Jr., Brian Ruhlman and Drew Rader rounded out the top five.
