Crouch Motorsports & Kofoid Split

Buddy Kofoid will be in search of a new ride in sprint car competition after Crouch Motorsports and Kofoid mutually agreed to part ways on Sunday evening.

Crouch revealed the news on social media, stating that the two sides “agreed to mutually part ways effective immediately.”

The statement went into further detail regarding the matter.

“Team owner Leighton Crouch and Kofoid could not come to an agreement on the direction of the team, which led to this decision.”

Kofoid responded to the news with a statement of his own.

“I’d like to clarify that out of integrity for myself as a race car driver and personally, I left on my own terms.”

While running a partial World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series schedule aboard the No. 11 Crouch machine, Kofoid earned a win at the Talladega (Ala.) Short Track and notched 10 top 10 finishes in 15 starts.

The two-time USAC National Midget champion also competes in the High Limit Sprint Car Series full time.

Kofoid isn’t the only driver on the sprint car free agent market after Sunday.

Parker Price-Miller’s departure from McCandless Motorsports happened earlier Sunday afternoon.
