GAFFNEY, S. C. — Tyler Courtney started outside the front row and won the winged sprint car portion of Tuesday night’s Prelude to the Finals at Cherokee Speedway.
Driving the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7bc, Courtney claimed the 30-lap event ahead of Indiana racer Zane DeVault, who started seventh and raced home in second spot.
Courtney earned $7,500 for the victory. It was his 11th triumph of the season.
Hunter Schuerenberg was third for Alex Bowman Racing, with Danny Sams III and Lance Moss completing the top five.
Daulton Wilson won the late model feature and Andrew Baker topped sportsman feature.
