GLENDALE, Ariz. – Blake Bower fended off a late-season surge by David Prickett to become the Western Midget Racing champion, wrapping up the hotly contested championship Saturday night at Adobe Mountain Speedway.
Bower topped Prickett by four points in the 25-race series that only counted the 12 best finishes. Both drivers scored seven wins over the year.
Nathan High, meanwhile, wired the 20-lap main event.
