Another Kings Of Thunder Win For Scelzi

TULARE, Calif. – Dominic Scelzi cruised to his third Kings of Thunder 360 sprint car win of the season Friday night at Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway.

Scelzi, piloting the familiar Scelzi Enterprises No. 41s, led all 30 laps of a marathon feature and crossed the finish line 1.209 seconds clear of runner-up D.J. Netto.

From green to checkered, the main event took just shy of 32 minutes to complete.

Mitchell Faccinto filled out the podium, followed by teenagers Corey Day and Tanner Holmes.

Zane Blanchard, Keith Day, Kaleb Montgomery, Jake Andreotti and Max Mittry closed the top 10. Fan favorite Rico Abreu was involved in an early accident and finished 23rd.

Montgomery set fast time over the 28-car field with a lap of 13.709 seconds, while Chase Majdic, Netto and Faccinto captured eight-lap heat race wins.

Majdic won the dash and Bud Kaeding took the B-main victory.
