PORT ROYAL, Pa. — Brent Marks just keeps on rolling in Pennsylvania Speedweek sprint car competition.
Marks drove to his fifth victory in six nights time during round eight of the series Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway, winning the 30-lap Greg Hodnett Classic at the half-mile dirt track.
Marks started fourth and took the lead on the first lap. He led throughout and survived multiple restarts and a last-lap slide job attempt by Logan Wagner to claim the $10,000 top prize.
Marks holds a commanding lead over Anthony Macri heading into Sunday night’s Speedweek finale at Selinsgrove Speedway. Sunday’s race will be broadcast by SPEED SPORT affiliate, DirtTrackDigest.tv.
Logan Wagner finished second, with his dad, Mike Wagner, taking third.
Tuesday night winner Rico Abreu was fourth, with Justin Peck fifth.
Rick Eckert won the super late model feature.
