ROSSBURG, Ohio — The latest entry list for the upcoming Eldora Million winged sprint car race at Eldora Speedway is now 59 drivers and cars strong.
More entries are expected by Friday’s deadline.
Among the latest group of entries are Kerry Madsen, Hunter Schuerenberg, Ian Madsen, Shane Stewart, James McFadden, Justin Peck, Tyler Courtney and Sye Lynch.
Kerry Madsen will drive the No. 55 Vermeer Motorsports machine, while the team’s former driver, Schuerenberg, steps into Kevin Swindell’s No. 39.
Madsen is scheduled to drive the Sandvig Motorsports No. 7, while Stewart will handle Bernie Stuebgen’s Indy Race Parts machine and McFadden guides the familiar Roth Motorsports No. 83. Peck is driving his familiar Buch Motorsports machine, while Lynch will step back into his own No. 42 sprint car for the highest-paying sprint car race in history.
Courtney, the former Kings Royal winner, will guide the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7.
Five-time Kings Royal winner Donny Schatz filed the first entry in early June, while others having previously filed entries include Lance Dewease, Brent Marks, Zeb Wise, Brian Brown, Brad Sweet Daryn Pittman, Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Gio Scelzi, Logan Schuchart, Sheldon Haudenschild, Anthony Macri and Danny Dietrich.
Preliminary events are scheduled for Wednesday (July 12), with the big-money event set for July 13.
Two nights of Kings Royal competition will follow July 14-15.
While the Eldora Million offers a total purse of $1,405,373, the four-day purse that includes Saturday night’s $175,000-to-win Kings Royal totals $2,000,023.
David Gravel, who won last month’s High Banks Nationals at Huset’s Speedway, Carson Macedo and Buddy Kofoid are among those yet to enter.
