HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Corbin Gurley charged from 10th starting spot to earn his first USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour main event victory Saturday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.
Gurley, bested a field of some of the best winged 360 sprint car drivers in the nation for a career-second sprint car win in the sprint car portion of the Hub City.
Gurley held off Brandon Anderson to win the 30-lap event, with Mark Smith coming home third.
Fourteen-year-old Gavan Boschele finished fourth and Jan Howard was fifth.
USAC midget ace Kaylee Bryson won a heat race and finished sixth.
