DOE RUN, Mo. — During the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series last Friday at Doe Run Speedway, Daniel Whitley won his heat race and powered the Spirit of Speedway – Abacus Racing car to a season-best third place and a spot on the podium.
During heat one, Whitley drove strong race to out-pace Gavin Miller and Taylor Reimer for the win. In the main event, restarting after an early lap-two caution, Whitley would slide the leading Jade Avedisian for the preferred position in turns one and two to overtake for the top spot as Miller attempted to follow with Reimer and Joe B. Miller all staying within striking distances.
Zach Daum went on to win the event.
