Jankowiak Hunting First Win At Allentown Indoor Race

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Andy Jankowiak owns a very impressive resume on the Indoor Auto Racing Series Fueled by VP, yet he’s never won inside Allentown’s PPL Center.

The talented driver from Tonawanda, N.Y., will get two chances to get that first win when the 2024 season begins on Friday and Saturday, January 5-6, when the 8th running of races inside the PPL Center is held — sponsored by Ironton Global Cloud Phone.

Jankowiak, who sits tied for fourth on the series all time win list with six wins, has won four times at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall which includes three in the Gamblers Classic. He has also scored wins in Albany, N.Y., and Trenton, N.J., but Allentown has eluded him.

Jankowiak is one of three drivers who have made every feature event in Allentown. The other two, Ryan Flores and Anthony Sesely, have both gone to victory lane. Jankowiak’s best finish of second came after a spirited battle with Flores in the 2022 edition.

And it’s not that Jankowiak hasn’t shown speed. He has three top-five finishes and six top 10’s and he holds the track record at 7.425 seconds set in time trials during the Friday night portion in 2020.

The eighth running of the Allentown event will feature three divisions of racing: TQ Midgets, Slingshots and Champ Karts with qualifying races and main events both nights.
