Ashton Torgerson Outlines Next Career Step

Hot off a Tulsa Shootout micro sprint victory, Ashton Torgerson has announced he will drive for Keith Kunz Motorsports during the upcoming Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series season.

The 17-year-old will add a full season of midget racing to his growing schedule of winged sprint cars, micro sprints and MonsterXTour trucks. Torgerson does have an Xtreme Outlaw Midget start to his credit, as he piloted a Tanner Thorson-owned midget in May, 2023. He finished third at Humboldt Speedway and 11th at 81 Speedway.

“I am very excited to team up with Keith Kunz, Pete Willoughby and everyone associated with the Keith Kunz Motorsports team,” Torgerson said. “It is no secret they are at the top of the mountain in midget racing, and I am excited to learn from some great teammates in the season ahead.”

Keith Kunz will handle the crew chief duties for Torgerson.

The Glendale, Ariz., native will start the season with KKM on March 15-16 at the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Showdown in Du Quoin, Ill.
