Zearfoss & Snow Unite For Copper Classic

JONESTOWN, Pa. – Fresh off his rookie campaign with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, Brock Zearfoss will get back to work and drive Clayton Snow’s familiar No. 7 in Arizona Speedway’s sixth annual Copper Classic this Friday and Saturday.

Before competition begins, Zearfoss will take Snow’s 360 sprint to the track in an open practice session Wednesday. Friday’s preliminary event awards $2,500-to-win and Saturday’s finale reserves $7,500 for the winner.

“This is exciting … I can’t thank Clayton Snow enough for this opportunity,” Zearfoss said. “We were scheduled to have a WoO event at Arizona Speedway, but it was ultimately canceled. So, I’m excited to finally have the chance to get back there. The Copper Classic is such a storied event.

“Bob Ream was kind enough to give me a shot last year,” Zearfoss added. “It just didn’t end as planned. But I’m confident Clayton and I will have speed right out of the gate. I’m ready to see what we can do.”

The Copper Classic doubleheader not only closes down the ASCS Southwest Region calendar, boasting what’s expected to be a stout field, but it will also end Arizona Speedway’s tenure, as the track will close permanently at the event’s conclusion.

“We want to add our names to the history book,” Zearfoss said. “We have the potential, that’s for certain.”

Zearfoss finished ninth in his rookie World of Outlaws season, racing for one top five and 23 top 10 finishes in 77 events entered. His season highlight came in the series finale two weeks ago at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, where he finished runner-up to Brent Marks.
