A day after claiming the first of two races in the Darwin Triple Crown at Australia’s Hidden Valley Raceway, Broc Feeney made it a perfect sweep in Repco Supercars Championship action.
Despite challenges from points leader Will Brown, Feeney led the way from his pole position to cut into Brown’s lead. The gap between the two is now 108 points after it began at 136 entering the weekend.
It was the Red Bull Ampol Racing teammates’ fifth one-two finish of the season.
“Pumped to be back. Bloody hell, Will was fast,” Feeney said.
“He obviously chased me down at the end of Taupō, but to hold on there, that’s a big win. Two wins this weekend, a pole in the shootout today. It’s not the official Triple Crown, but I’m pretty stoked with that.”
While it’s been a trying year for defending champion Brodie Kostecki, he snagged his first podium result of the season with a third-place finish.
It was an all-Chevrolet top six with James Golding, Nick Percat and Jack Le Brocq locking down fourth through sixth.
The season will resume at the NTI Townsville 500 on July 5-7. All Supercars event are broadcast LIVE by SPEED SPORT 1.
