Castroneves Joins Meyer Shank Petit Le Mans Roster

PATASKALA, Ohio – Four time Indianapolis 500 winner and reigning IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar DPi champion Helio Castroneves will join Meyer Shank Racing’s Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya for the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Nov. 10-13.

Hot off of his NTT IndyCar Series season return with MSR – and his record setting Indianapolis 500 victory – Castroneves will make his second IMSA start this season after taking home the 2021 Rolex 24 At Daytona victory earlier this year.

Castroneves won four races in 2020 onboard an Acura ARX-05 DPi on the way to winning his first-ever IMSA Championship. Castroneves’ race wins include claiming victory at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the six hour event last season.

“I’m so excited to be joining Meyer Shank Racing, Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya for Petit Le Mans,” said Castroneves. “Road Atlanta is such a great track and racing under the lights is something really special. Luckily I have a win there last year in the same car, so I’m hoping that I can jump right in and get up to speed. We had a test there last week and we’re feeling pretty confident about the No. 60 Acura.”
