Nelson Piquet

Nelson Piquet earned three Formula One championships, but after his F-1 career ended he took a stab at Indianapolis. A crash in 1992 prevented him from competing in the Indianapolis 500, but he returned one year later and qualified 13th. A sour engine forced him to retire from the race after 38 laps, resulting in a 32nd-place finish.
