Overcast skies ultimately let loose with rain showers that hit during hot laps, delaying the program. However, following the culmination of the waterworks, the Eldora Speedway crew ran in the track and the full night’s program was completed.

The night also featured qualifying for the USAC Silver Crown division. Twenty-seven cars qualified for the event, the largest 4-Crown Silver Crown field since 2008 (which featured 28 entries).
In his first outing in the Chris Dyson Racing No. 9, Kevin Thomas Jr. went out last and topped the field with a quick time of 16.054 seconds to earn the pole for the Saturday night 50-lapper, while Jason McDougal was second-quick, securing the outside front row starting position.
In Outlaws action, Logan Schuchart put his Shark Racing No. 1s on the pole and took advantage to lead every lap and earn the feature win, with Aaron Reutzel, Sheldon Haudenschild, Kerry Madsen and Carson Macedo rounding out the top five.
On Saturday, the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series, USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series, USAC Silver Crown Series and the Ollie‘s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions series competed for the four crowns on the half-mile high-banked oval. Unlike the previous evening, there was no rain in the forecast and a warm, sunny Ohio day greeted the teams and fans.
In 2018, Tyler Courtney took wins in both the USAC midget and sprint car features. He kicked off this year‘s 4-Crown evening with a quick time in the midgets, besting the 20-car field with a lap of 16.880 in the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7BC.
Jerry Coons Jr. and Tanner Carrick led the field to the green. At the start, Seavey and Carrick split Coons down the frontstretch, with Seavey taking the lead into turn one, but Carrick threw a big slider into turn three to lead lap one and take the point. Jason McDougal flipped in turn four on lap five, bringing out the red.
