GLORY DAYS: Pittman Tops The Big One

Daryn Pittman led 36 of 40 laps to win the 11th annual Historical Big One sprint car race at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.

Pittman drove the No. 21 Sherdon Motorsports machine to a $100,000 triumph on the legendary half-mile race track.

“What an awesome feeling to win this race,” Pittman said. “Luck was surely on our side tonight. When we qualified 21st, we thought our chances were done, but crazy things happened and we ended up on the pole.”

Stevie Smith finished second and Steve Kinser was third.
