SCORE Adjusts Dates For Two Events

ENSENADA, Mexico — After further review of the COVID-19 situation with government representatives, SCORE race officials announced Friday that it has changed the dates for two of its four races during the upcoming SCORE World Desert Championship season.

The two races with new dates are the 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 and the 53rd SCORE Baja 500.

The SCORE San Felipe 250 has been moved to April 14-18 and the SCORE Baja 500 has been shifted to June 9-13.

SCORE also confirmed that three of the four SCORE races will all start in Ensenada, Baja California and two will also finish in Ensenada. The season-ending 54th SCORE Baja 1,000 will start in Ensenada and finish in La Paz, Baja California Sur. The season-opener will once again be held in San Felipe.

“After consulting with Municipal, State and Federal health and tourism authorities as well as our sponsors we have determined that these two date changes are in the best interest of all concerned,” said Jose A. Grijalva, President/Race Director of SCORE Int’l. “We have quickly adjusted the dates for the first two races of the year so we can have all four of our events and produce another memorable season of SCORE Baja races.”
