It’s time for a new edition of SPEED SPORT Power Rankings. Who will be on top this week?

1. William Byron

William Byron raced away from the competition to collect his series-best third NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season on Sunday afternoon at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

2. Max Verstappen

Reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen cruised to his third victory in four races this season, claiming the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.

3. Shawn Langdon

Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel racer Shawn Langdon won for the second time in three races this season, topping Sunday’s NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series event at Firebird Motorsports Park in Arizona.

4. Alex Palou

Reigning NTT IndyCar Series champion Alex Palou turned in a dominant performance to win the $1 Million Challenge at The Thermal Club, earning the $500,000 top prize for his Chip Ganassi Racing team.

5. Jett Lawrence

With five Monster Energy Supercross triumphs this season, Jett Lawrence leads the standings with by eight points with five races remaining.

6. Denny Hamlin

A two-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series this season, Denny Hamlin finished 11th on Sunday at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and is third in the standings.

7. Josef Newgarden

Having won the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January, Josef Newgarden turned in a dominant performance to win the NTT IndyCar Series opener at St. Petersburg, Fla.

8. David Gravel

World of Outlaws sprint car series point leader David Gravel grabbed his second victory of the season Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway and he finished second Saturday at Arrowhead Speedway.

9. Mike Marlar

Mike Marlar swept both races during the Spring Thaw late model doubleheader at Tennessee’s Volunteer Speedway, earning $42,000 for the weekend.

10. Kyle Larson

NASCAR Cup Series point leader Kyle Larson finished second at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. Larson owns one Cup Series win, an Xfinity Series victory and a High Limit sprint car triumph.
