Josh Berry secured pole position for the Explore the Pocono Mountains 225 by turning a 53.587-second lap around Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway during NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying on Friday afternoon.
The No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet will lead the field to the green on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (ET).
Kaulig Racing’s Daniel Hemric will join Berry on the front row in his No. 11 Chevrolet. Hemric’s fast lap was 53.851 seconds.
Richard Childress Racing’s Sheldon Creed qualified third, with Sam Hunt Racing’s Connor Mosack and Joe Gibbs Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek filing into fourth and fifth, respectively.
Sammy Smith, Brandon Jones, Sam Mayer, Justin Allgaier and Cole Custer completed the top 10.
