Fresh off his victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last week, Justin Allgaier is back on top again, claiming the pole for Saturday’s Explore The Pocono Mountains 225 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.
Allgaier topped the qualifying session with a best time of 53.359.
Behind the JR Motorsports driver, sat the Joe Gibbs Racing duo of Ty Gibbs and Brandon Jones, slotting in second and third, respectively.
Points leader A.J. Allmendinger will start fourth in his Kaulig Racing Chevrolet.
Rookie and part-time driver Sammy Smith impressed in qualifying, with a solid 5th place effort in the No. 18 Toyota.
