DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Canadian Tire, the former entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, is returning to the tour as a sponsor and has been designated as the official retailer of NASCAR in Canada.
In addition, Motomaster Batteries has also been named the official battery of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.
As part of the partnership, Canadian Tire and Motomaster Batteries will each be race entitlement sponsors for NASCAR Pinty’s Series races – the Canadian Tire 150 at Autodrome Chaudière on Aug. 29 and the Motomaster Batteries 125 at Flamboro Speedway on Sept. 12.
“Canadian Tire has played an important role in the development of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and we are thrilled to welcome them back to the NASCAR family,” said Chad Seigler, NASCAR Vice President of International Business Development and Partnerships. “With a full season planned for 2021, we are eager to continue to build the Pinty’s Series as Canada’s leading stock car series, and teams and fans alike should be excited to see the commitment to the sport from Canadian Tire and Motomaster Batteries.”
“Canadian Tire has a longstanding history of supporting motorsport in Canada,” said Kim Saunders, Vice President of Community and Partnerships at Canadian Tire Corporation. “We’re proud to return as NASCAR partners again this year.”
Canadian Tire has a rich motorsports history having sponsored the NASCAR Pinty’s Series from its first year under the NASCAR umbrella (2007) through 2016 when Pinty’s Delicious Foods took over naming rights. The company has also served as facility naming rights holder and primary marketing partner of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park since 2012.
The NASCAR Pinty’s Series will hold two races at CTMP on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5. The series had raced at the historic venue every year before the pandemic-shortened season in 2020.
