Ryan Blaney will have his full regular crew this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway as Team Penske is appealing the four-race suspension of crew chief Jonathan Hassler and pit-crew members Zachary Price (rear-tire changer) and Graham Stoddard (jackman).
The suspension stems from a tire coming off Blaney’s No. 12 Ford after a pit stop during the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The deferred suspension will have the No. 12 team at full power for at least one race in the Round of 12 as Blaney tries to advance to the Round of 8 in the playoffs. Blaney was the victor of the NASCAR All-Star Race in the spring at Texas Motor Speedway. He led 84 of 140 laps in the exhibition race.
Blaney has yet to win a points race in 2022. He was the only driver of the 16 who made the playoffs who didn’t win at least once in the regular season.
In 12 career NASCAR Cup starts at Texas, Blaney has three top fives. He has finished outside the top 10 just once in the last eight points races at the 1.5-mile track.
