Talladega Cup Pole Goes To Denny Hamlin

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Denny Hamlin, fresh off his second victory of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, will start from the pole this Sunday at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Hamlin will start on the pole at Talladega based on his qualifying metric score following last Sunday’s race in Las Vegas, Nev.

LINEUP: YellaWood 500

He’ll be joined on the front row by his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch. Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott starts third, followed by Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson.

Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and William Byron will start sixth through 10th, respectively.
