StarCom Racing, owned by William Woehlemann, Michael Kohler and Matthew Kohle, debuted in 2017 by running two races with veteran Derrike Cope at the wheel. The team ran the full schedule in 2018 with a variety of drivers, sometimes fielding two cars at select events. Landon Cassill was named the full-time driver for the team in 2019 before Quin Houff took over as the team’s driver the last two years.
Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Championship race will be the 164th and final in the history of the team. In the previous 163 races, the best finish earned by the team came when Cassill finished 11th during the 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
