Ratcliff To Take On New Role With JGR

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Longtime Joe Gibbs Racing crew chief Jason Ratcliff will be taking on a new role next season.

Ratcliff, who served as crew chief for the No. 19 Toyota driven by Martin Truex Jr. this season, will retire from his role and become the team and driver coordinator for JGR’s NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series racing programs.

Ratcliff worked with 28 different drivers and tallied 72 victories across the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series during a 24-year career as a crew chief.

“I’m excited to transition into this new role with Joe Gibbs Racing,” Rattcliff said. “The team has become home to me over the years and I’m grateful that they have grown with me as my career has evolved. The opportunity to help the next generation of crew chiefs and drivers is something that means a lot to me and it means the world that I get to do it at the same team that I have built my legacy with.”
