No Cup Series Practice At Talladega

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR officials have announced a change to the schedule for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series event at Talladega Superspeedway on June 21.

The event was originally scheduled to feature a practice session for teams on June 20 in order to allow teams the opportunity to test a new rules package that is debuting at the track.

However, series officials have now decided to cancel the planned practice session in order to continue under the current weekend format, which features no qualifying or practice in advance of an event.

The NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 is scheduled for June 21 at Talladega Superspeedway and will be televised live at 3 p.m. on FOX.
