No. 2 Penske Crew Penalized For Loose Wheel At Kansas

Team Penske’s No. 2 team has been penalized by NASCAR for the loose tire that escaped Austin Cindric’s Ford Mustang during the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway last Sunday.

Cindric finished 31st in the 267-lap race.

The No. 2 crew will be without their jackman, Patrick Gray, and tire changer, Keiston France, for the next two Cup Series races — including Darlington (S.C.) Raceway and North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway.

Gray and France will return for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on May 28.

Notably, there was no penalty dealt to Legacy Motor Club’s Noah Gragson or Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain for their post-race altercation on pit road, where Chastain landed a punch on Gragson.
