NASCAR Penalizes No. 2 Penske Team

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Austin Cindric’s No. 2 Team Penske operation in the NASCAR Cup Series has been penalized by NASCAR officials for a lost wheel that occurred during Sunday’s Ambetter 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

As a result, four-race suspensions have been levied to crew chief Jeremy Bullins, plus crew members Curtis Thompson (front tire changer) and Patrick Gray (jack).

The No. 2 Ford left the pits and its left-front wheel detached and rolled down the pit lane, violating the NASCAR Rule Book Sections 8.8.10.4 and 10.5.2.6 (loss or separation of an improperly installed tire/wheel from the vehicle).
