Logano Leads Team Penske Sweep In Qualifying

HAMPTON, Ga. — A trio of Team Penske drivers topped the timesheets during NASCAR Cup Series qualifying Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with Joey Logano earning pole for Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400.

Logano turned a fast lap of 31.256 seconds at 177.374 mph in his No. 22 Ford on the 1.54-mile track.

Austin Cindric slid into second with a 31.262-second lap time at 177.34 mph, while Ryan Blaney qualified third. RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski will join Blaney on the second row.

The top eight drivers in qualifying all drove Fords.

Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) teammates Aric Almirola and point leader Kevin Harvick, RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher and SHR’s Chase Briscoe filled in behind Blaney. Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson wheeled his No. 5 Chevrolet to ninth place in qualifying, while Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell placed 10th in the No. 20 Toyota.

Last week’s winner William Byron qualified 11th.

Thirty-six cars will start Sunday’s 260-lap race.
