Legacy Motor Club announced a shakeup to its crew chief lineups across its two NASCAR Cup Series teams on Tuesday morning.
In a statement released on social media, Legacy M.C. CEO Cal Wells III stated Erik Jones’ crew chief, Dave Elenz, “have parted ways.”
“Legacy M.C. and Dave Elenz have parted ways, and the organization would like to thank Dave for his stewardship of the No. 43 over the past three seasons,” the statement read.

With Elenz out after scoring a Cup Series win with Jones in the Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway in 2022, Ben Beshore will move over to the No. 43 Toyota team for the remainder of the season.
The statement continued, reading: “Newly appointed Technical Director, Brian Campe, will serve as interim crew chief for the No. 42 of John Hunter Nemechek effective this weekend at Charlotte (N.C) Motor Speedway.”
It’s been a struggle for the two-car team, as Jones is 30th in the standings with two top-10 finishes. Nemechek is 34th with three top 10s.
