DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kyle Larson will chase his seventh NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season from the pole during Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Larson, who won his first race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this year, will start on the pole at Las Vegas based on his qualifying metric score following last Saturday’s race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.
He’ll be joined on the front row for the first race of the second round of the playoffs by Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney. William Byron, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick will start third through fifth, respectively.
Denny Hamlin, Alex Bowman, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch complete the remainder of the top-10 starters.Â
