Ken Squier Reveals COVID-19 Diagnosis

WATERBURY, Vt. – Veteran motorsports journalist Ken Squier, who was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2018, has confirmed he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Squier, 85, confirmed the news Thursday on WDEV, the radio station he owns in Waterbury, Vt. He called for listeners to remain vigilant and to continue protecting themselves from the virus.

His daughter, Ashley Squier, spoke to the Barre-Montpelier (Vt.) Times Argus and said her father had been following health precautions, which included wearing a mask, washing his hands and maintaining social distancing.

However, she indicated that her father got the virus from a person who didn’t show any symptoms who had come in contact with another person who later tested positive for COVID-19.

The Barre-Montpelier Times Argus reported that Squier is resting in his home in Stowe, Vt., as he battles the virus.
